in this image we can see a man covered in flowing water. the man has a tranquil expression and is in the centre of the photo, make him the clear subject of the photo. the background is blank to make the man stand out.
|

|
in this photo, we see another man standing with a book on his face. i think the wind is blown by a fan causing the books pages to turn. the man would have had to have remained perfectly still in order for this Gif to work

Symmetrical order
In art people often like to see symmetry as it is pleasing to the eye. this is how the art style of symmetry order originated

ARTIST ANALYSIS:Sasha Levin
the image here is likely to have been taken in a tunnel and the spiralling effect the rungs on the ceiling have make the photo seem interesting. the colour scheme seems to be greyscale.
|
this image seems to have been taken in bridge and the saturation has clearly been increased to make the blues and whites pop out. The man is clearly the centre of the photo and his dark blue t'shirt draws attention.
|
This photo is of a man standing in a room over looking a city. The man seems to be standing on a reflective surface but the artist has probably edited it to make it look like that.

We can see a bike taken to pieces and laid out symmetrically in an interesting shape, almost like a game controller. The symmetry is very visual appealing. the blacks stand out due to the white background.

3 STRANDS
Strand 1: Texture order and disorder
keywords: surface, rough smooth, nature, urban, disorder, order
concept, in this strand i used my camera on a medium shutter speed and appature, varying depending on the place. my goal was to capture the rough, disordered surfaces of nature and compare/contrast them with the smooth, order surfaces of the urban enviroment.

Strand 2: Figure Disorder
ARTIST INSPIRATION: FRANCESCA WOODMAN
Francesca Woodman (April 3, 1958 – January 19, 1981) was an American photographer best known for her black and white pictures featuring herself and female models. Many of her photographs show young women who are nude, blurred (due to movement and long exposure times), merging with their surroundings, or whose faces are obscured. Her work continues to be the subject of much critical acclaim and attention, years after she killed herself at the age of 22. Although Woodman used different cameras and film formats during her career, most of photographs were taken with medium format cameras producing 2-1/4 by 2-1/4 inch square negatives. woodman created at least 10,000 negatives.
Strand 3: Light Disorder
Key words: Long exposure, contrast, light trails, movement, high angle.
Concept: For my first strand I will be recording light disorder. I have used the manual mode on my camera to capture long exposure shots. I took these photos from a high angle above the North Circular and Colney Hatch Lane. Due to the long exposure technique, light trails were captured depicting movement of the veichals with high contrast.

CHOSEN STRAND: LIGHT
Artist Inspiration
Michael Bosanko
After a failed attempt to take a long exposer photo of the moon, Michael Bosanko discovered he could draw images with the exposer of the moon. As soon as he discovered this he began to use a torch instead of the moon, this was the humble beginning for Michael. HIs work has now evolved into a full on obsession and he is often used to make adverts eg. talk talk hired him to make their ad.
In this image, Michael Bosanko has take a picture on a empty road at sunset. Probably using a LED light he has draw a giant spider continuing with his trend of using nature.
|
In this image, Michael Bosanko seems to have taken this picture in a park and uses flowers to make the point of nature. He uses multi coloured torches and long exposer to make the flowers.
|
In this image, Michael Bosanko uses an image of a bridge to create the giant lizard moving. this image seems to have been inspired by a horror movie.

Development 4: Abstract Light Disorder
Key words: dark, contrast, trail, abstract, chaotic
Concept: In this strand development, I used a full manual setting and have the exposure on my camera set to 15 seconds. The light in the photos highly contrast with the dark background. The trails in the dark are abstract and chaotic.

Development 7: light painting with more tools
Keywords: light, shape, order
Concept: for this project i used a combination of tools to create a variaty of different shape in light, the rigid shapes matched the current theme of order.
